i-Ticket Couriered By Railways

i-Ticket is short for Internet Ticket. You book the normal ticket online on the official IRCTC website. IRCTC will then courier the ticket at your given address within 2 to 3 days. However, if you wish to get an i-Ticket, you need to book at least 3 days in advanced.

The ticket couriered to you can be booked under Confirmed/RAC/Waitlisted ticket status. You can check if your address comes under the ‘Places of Delivery’ under the list of pin codes given in the link https://www.services.irctc.co.in/cgi-bin/bv60.dll/irctc/services/pinNarea.do?.

You also need to pay extra charges for the courier service provided.
